How much CO₂ from human activity enters the ocean? We use measurements of inert tracers such as CFCs and inverse models to reconstruct the history of anthropogenic CO₂ in the ocean over the industrial era.

IPY 2007-2008 is one of the largest collaborative science programs ever attempted. Researchers in the OCP division are making important contributions to this important research effort.
