LDEO Mail Server Outage

The LDEO mail server was slow or unusable from about 11:00 AM to 2:45 PM today. We believe we have identified the problem, and have prevented its recurrence. However, if you are using pine, mailx, elm, or dtmail you may still be unable to read your email because your configuration is no longer supported. If you use one of the email clients listed you need to call us for help reconfiguring your mail or switching to a different mail client. Please call X8548 (Doug) or X8698 (Mahdad) if you are still unable to access mail.
