Lamont Doherty Child Development Center

Bright Horizons has been Lamont's child care provider since 2001. They have facilities for infants, toddlers and preschool. The Center has recently received NAEYC accredition. The program offers both full time and part time daycare and have also added emergency care. Although Lamont and Columbia employees get preference for openings as of now there are community children that also attend the center.

The Center also offers a nutritious lunch, along with a morning and afternoon snack are served daily. The menu includes a variety of kid friendly choices that parents have approved and have continued to make suggestions.

Bright Horizons has recently added efamily,an informative weekly article emailed to families regarding current topics that range from healthy snacks and family dynamics, to news reports and safety tips. The Center has its own monthly newsletter that pertains to this location as well as being able to access information from Bright Horizons.

Lamont offers a scholarship program(pdf file) for students and faculty who meet the income guidelines.
