The Marie Tharp Visiting Fellowship

Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University invites applications for Postdoctoral fellowships in any field of the earth, environmental, or ocean sciences. Candidates should have recently completed their Ph.D. or should expect to complete their degree requirements by September, 2009.

The deadline for completed applications for the Postdoctoral Fellowship is January 9, 2009.

The ADVANCE Program awards several Marie Tharp Fellowships each year to women scientists and researchers in earth and environmental sciences. This is a 3 month fellowship that awards up to $30,000 per fellow.

The on-line application will be available on November 27, 2008. The application deadline for the 2009-2010 academic year is January 16, 2009. Please read the application instructions very carefully before submitting your application.
